The gift of baptism has been given and commanded by God Himself (Matthew 28). It is not a law or a rule that is followed in order to become righteous, but it is an act done by God Himself to give the gifts of forgiveness of sins, redemption from death and the devil, and the promise of eternal life (1 Peter 3, Titus 3, Romans 6, Acts 2, Acts 22). Baptism is such a wonderful gift from God that we want all to be baptized and to receive the gifts that are promised to all who are baptized.
